Christian Bale + GaGa?

That’s right people. Christian Bale dancing to Lady GaGa’s “Bad Romance.” I doubt I could think of a better post for Crossroads.

Are you unfamiliar with my Crossroads category? They are easy to miss. It’s only once in a blue moon I come across something that is so perfect for what Crossroads is meant to convey…a true marriage of two random entertainers or groups who have little in common, coming together in a moment of pop culture goodness. (See here and here.)

And now we can add this to the list:

When IHGB readers Megan and Betsy both sent me the link, I knew that this category had to been taken to a new level. Not that I’m a huge follower of GaGa, but it TOTALLY WORKS in this clip. And everyone knows you can always count on me to fully support any and all things Newsies and Christian Bale. (See here.)

In case you have no idea what I’m talking about in regards to Newsies

a.) I feel sorry for you and

b.) I give you this original rendition:

Oh 1992. Why were you so good to me?

I honestly don’t know how we are going to be able to top this one in the future. Crossroads may have seen it’s last post.  Feel free to prove me wrong and send in your Crossroads considerations.

Until then, I’m going to be watching Bale again and that adorable guy who looks like AC Slater.

Oh Lincee! If it wasn’t for several states separating us, I’m pretty sure we’d be BFFs. While I do prefer the original rendition, I have to agree this is brilliant. Yay Newsies (and Christian Bale)!!!

Oh my goodness…I used to rewind that song over and over! Yes, rewind on my vhs! I loved the Newsies! I am annoying my husband right now because I am breaking out in song to “Seize the Day”!! Wow- thanks for the memory! Haven’t thought of that in so long! :0)

You gotta love Patrick Bateman back in his youth. Anybody here ever see him in the WW2 epic “Empire of the Sun”?

As for Gaga – I am so in love. I haven’t crushed for a chick this bad since Jennifer Grey. And before you draw the obvious conclusions I confess: Panda’s got a thang for chicks wth big noses.

i have been watching this all week! and humming snippets of Gaga and Seize the Day in my cubicle…

also, every time i watch this number, i remember my 12 year old self being completely mesmerized by the pelvic thrust they do when dancing…

Do yourself a favor though. DO NOT look up what these guys look like now. DO NOT DO IT. Except Christian Bale, he’s still hot.

Oh. my. word. Newsies has been my favorite movie since the day I saw it…mainly because of my major crush on Christian Bale! Every time I see that man, I go weak in the knees! Doesn’t matter what he’s in…my heart flutters and I automatically love the movie! Ohhhh, Newsies.

There are no words. As an avid Newsies fan, thank you for the Crossroads AND reminding me just how fabulous Newsies truly is. They don’t make ’em like they used to!

Newsies dancing to Bad Romance – amazing!! Productivity will be low today – between the World Cup kicking off and the Newsies video, how can Excel spreadsheets compete?!?
