So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord. And you are right, for so I am. If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.”
My dad sent me an email this morning reminding me of the meaning of Maundy Thursday. Since it’s our anniversary, I told my husband that I would accept a massaging of the feet instead.
Happy Easter! He is Risen!
Happy Easter Lincee! Rejoicing in the Risen Lord!
Happy Easter and thanks for your blog! Here is a a great Easter video I think you will enjoy. It reminds us of the wonderful news that He is risen. http://www.lds.org/bible-videos/videos/he-is-risen?lang=eng
As a Jewish woman, Easter is not my holiday. The teachings of Jesus are incredible and what a powerful message he imparted, regardless of judeo-christian differences.
I used to work a retreat and the “kitchen crew” would wash the feet of all of the attendees of the retreat, there was not a dry eye in the place! your status reminded me of those wonderful days where we would serve the attendees and receive so much more! Thanks for that lincee, you are truly a beautiful person inside and out! Jesus is good!
