I Hate Green Beans Podcast 27: Hallmark Christmas Movies 2017
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Hallmark Christmas movies have literally been playing since the 4th of July, preparing us for this podcast. My friend Stephanie and I discuss the brand new additions to the Hallmark holiday pantheon and we do our best to help you decipher between all of the charming town squares, struggling Christmas tree farms, and spontaneous snowball fights that break out in the middle of the street.
If you want to watch the trailers, check out this post where I anticipate the storyline of the new Hallmark movies. Then listen as we giggle our way through the plots.
Enjoy the show!

I wasn’t sure how this was going to go because all Hallmark Christmas movies are the same, but you two immediately acknowledged that and it was so fun to listen to! My favorite one is called Christmas with Holly and it’s almost legitimately good. It’s about a little girl who stops talking after her mom passes away and her 3 uncles step in to take care of her. The love interest of one of the uncles works at the local toy shop and I’ll stop with that because I would hate to spoil the rest of it. 😉
I love Christmas With Holly. My other Favorite is The Most Wonderful Time of the Year with Henry Winkler. I mostly love it because it’s my Dad’s favorite. He loves some Hallmark Christmas movies!
Tasha- I love the Fonz and think I remember loving The Most Wonderful Time of the Year! That’s so sweet that your dad loves them, too. 🙂
I totally agree with ya’lls favorites (the Santa Baby movies and 12 dates of Christmas) but my absolute favorite is also an ABC Family movie and its called Holidaze, circa 2013 and starring Jennie Garth! Look it up, you won’t be disappointed. Yes, its the same plot as 15 other Hallmark movies, but with less cheesy-ness (just a little, not a lot) 🙂
Two words: Sam Heughan … as a PRINCE.
A Princess for Christmas

And LOVED this episode!
Today I discovered all the movies on Netflix. I watched A Christmas Prince. My husband also said “Didn’t you already see this?” and the answer is no, but it’s a lot like other prince like things I’ve watched.
I’m super sad because we dropped cable and the only way to get Hallmark is through Sling TV, which we aren’t doing (we have a different non cable tv option). I even paid for the Hallmark app but those are all super old movies, like from 1996, none of the new movies will show up there. I’m mad at Hallmark right now. So sad!
